Radiohead ‘Creep’
Everyone’s welcome to come and sing a fabulous arrangement of Radiohead’s Creep – taught by Yula, with the brilliant Joe Faulkner on guitar.
Creep was Radiohead’s seminal debut single and has firmly cemented itself as one of the most electrifying 90s anthems with its plaintive verses, soaring chorus and raw emotion. Yula will send vocal parts out for you to listen to in advance, and then take you through learning the whole song in a single uplifting session, making it easy for everyone to join in – no prior experience needed, just enthusiasm. And don’t worry – it’s a radio-friendly, non-sweary version of the song!
It’s wonderful to collaborate with Joe again, who you’ll remember from his cameo at Bohemian Rhapsody, and who brought his great guitar skills to Comfortably Numb. And we’re delighted to return to the spellbinding The Church (formerly known as St Stephen’s Church, where we performed Pet Shop Boys’ It’s A Sin with Ian Curnow). Right in the heart of Ipswich (opposite the Buttermarket shopping mall), it’s the perfect setting to transform this song into something truly unforgettable. And just happens to follow Radiohead’s first live dates in 7 years!
The Buttermarket multi-storey car park is an easy, well-lit, short distance from the church (please note if you have accessibility needs that disabled parking is only available on certain floors of the car park after 9pm – info: buttermarketipswich.com/parking).
Tickets available to Pop Chorus members and friends & family: £15 Adults, £8 Under 16s (each including £1 per ticket booking fee), with Essential Companions free. Doors 6:30pm, singing 7-9pm approx (including a break), bar open until 10pm. The venue is disabled-friendly, but please let us know of any special requirements. This is a predominantly standing venue, but some seats will be available – please be generous about prioritising these for people who need them most.
