‘Funky Sunday’ pop-up with Naveen Arles @ Britten Studio, Snape

Come and get your groove on, as we get the autumn term off to a flying, funkadelic start, with a workshop delivered by Naveen Arles from MD Brunch at Snape’s Britten Studio.

Lots of you will be familiar with MD Brunch – they organise the amazing weekend of choirs performing at The Tower of London every December, and brought Deke Sharon to London for last summer’s Pitch Perfect workshop. Some of you will have been lucky enough to participate in a short workshop lead by Nav at Bristol Beacon in 2022, and some will have seen his acca-awesome ensemble, Vocal Shack, at Milton Keynes last year.

How so much energy, passion and inspiration can be packaged into one person is beyond me, but this is your opportunity to come and experience Nav’s dynamic and utterly joyful workshop style for yourself. He will take us through warm-ups and vocal games, getting us laughing and singing without even thinking about it. Through his innovative teaching style, we’ll harmonise and blend our voices effortlessly, before moving onto tackling the stunning a capella arrangement of Chaka Khan’s ‘Ain’t Nobody’, mashed up with Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ (as seen at MK Choir Festival), for a truly funktastic experience. You are guaranteed 2 hours of making amazing sounds together and lots of fun – you definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Tickets are £20 and available to Pop Chorus members and friends and family. Under 16s benefit from a reduced price of £10.
